Optimizing pitch decks for impact

Context
How much do you think your prospects remember when you PowerPoint them to death? Neuroscience research shows it's typically about 10%. Worded differently, people only remember 1-2 things from your pitch. Some people see that as a problem. I see it as a gift.
Most pitch decks lack focus. They waste opportunities to be memorable and drive home your unique value.
Here's what you need to do. First, decide the two key points you want your audience to remember. Hint: The reasons your customers choose you is not a bad place to start. Your customer data, NPS surveys, win/loss interviews...look there! Second, repeat those one or two key points often enough - and memorably enough - so they stick.
The image shown is the first slide from one deck I created by working with the sales team. It's very focused. Two key messages we want the buyer to remember, right up front. Every other slide in the deck directly supports one of these two messages. No exceptions, no fluff, no bull. No spray and pray.
